Waco City Council Adopts 2024-2025 Budget

On Tuesday, August 27, 2024 Waco City Council approved the budget for Fiscal Year 2024 – 2025. The new budget maintains the current property tax rate and reduces tax-supported expenses while still providing employee salary increases and delivering the same quality of core City services.

Adopted Budget FY 24-25

Fiscal Management Services manages the City of Waco's finances to ensure the city remains good stewards of public funds. The department oversees the annual budget adopted by the City Council. In addition to the budget, the department also has divisions in payroll, treasury, accounts payable, grants and purchasing.

Fiscal Management Services earned the Distinguished Budget Presentation Award from the Government Finance Officers Association for the last 20 years—the highest achievement in governmental budgeting.
