Go Green!

As the Green Communities' Conference launched at the Waco Convention Center, Waco City Council, City management, and City staff joined together with our current fleet of electric vehicles to showcase continued support for the city organization going green!

Plans are to continue growing the City's electric vehicles fleet as we evaluate their use in replacement. In addition to our recycling program's continued expansion, solar utility infrastructure implementation at our city buildings, innovative waste-to-energy projects and partnerships, and other initiatives, we are excited for the Waco City Council's goals of a more sustainable Waco!

Departments represented in the fleet include Code Compliance, Animal Services/Police, Information Technology, Engineering, Parks & Recreation, Cameron Park Zoo, Inspections, City Secretary's Office, Fleet, Facilities, and Safety.
