Construction on Bagby Avenue continues to make great progress. Construction crews are currently working on the stretch from Sunnydell Avenue to Richter Avenue. One lane of traffic will remain open for most of the time, but there may be occasional full closures. Please exercise caution and slow down if you are traveling in this area.
So far, more than 60% of the water and sanitary sewer replacements are complete along with the concrete pavement at the Irving Lee intersection near H-E-B. City of Waco Public Works prioritized the short stretch from Valley Mills Drive to Irving Lee to minimize the disruption for shoppers at H-E-B and nearby stores.
Once complete, Bagby Avenue from Valley Mills Drive to Kendrick Lane will include new utilities, sidewalks, and drainage infrastructure. Thank you for your patience as we work to update and improve Waco's roads!
