Healthy Women & Children Coalition

The Healthy Women and Children Coalition (HWCC) is a group of dedicated community organizations who are working together for a common purpose. The coalition commenced through the Waco-McLennan County Public Health District under the Healthy Texas Babies Initiative.

Mission

Our mission is to improve maternal and infant health safety by advancing quality, equity, and evidence-based prevention for all Waco-McLennan County mothers and babies.

Vision

Our vision is for all Waco-McLennan County mothers to celebrate their child’s first birthday.

What We Do

We collaborate with community partners and stakeholders to strengthen local capacity and aim to improve birth outcomes and reduce disparities in infant mortality rates. The end result is healthier women and children in Waco-McLennan County.
