Paul Cain, Assistant City Manager with the City of Waco, began his 27 year career with the City of Fort Worth as a part-time maintenance mechanic in the Water Department. He then started full-time with the Budget Office as a Budget Analyst and went on to serve as an Economic Development Specialist in the City Manager’s Office, and later as the Administrative Services Manager in the Transportation and Public Works Department. Following a short time in the real estate sector and then as Business Retention Manager with the City of Grand Prairie, Paul began service as Deputy City Manager with the City of Burleson in 2002.
During his tenure at Burleson, he has had the opportunity to manage every operational department, oversee the development of the City’s capital plans, and lead the city’s economic development efforts.
Cain received his Bachelor of Political Science from Abilene Christian University in 1989 and his Masters in Public Administration from the University of North Texas in 1991.
He is a current member of the Texas City Management Association (TCMA) and the MedStar Foundation and is an active supporter of local sports and band booster clubs.
Paul is married, has four children and a grandchild. In his private time, he enjoys sports, music, and documentaries.
