Ironman 70.3 Waco Traffic Impact

The annual Ironman 70.3 Waco event is set to return on Sunday, Oct. 4. The event, which will attract approximately 7,500 athletes and spectators and will be headquartered at Indian Spring Park. This is the eighth time the Waco has hosted the Ironman event. Set-up, equipment deliveries and pre-race road closures in front of the park will begin Monday, Sept. 28.

Downtown Railroad Quiet Zone

The City of Waco is moving forward with a project to establish a railroad quiet zone in the downtown area. This initiative will stop routine train horn blasts along a 1.5-mile stretch of track. Once complete, the quiet zone will improve the quality of life for people who live in, work in, and visit downtown.
